Fantastic opportunity for a Website Content Writer! Our client is seeking a talented  Website Content Writer for a temporary hire position in Philadelphia, PA. As Website Content Writer, you will develop/write content that demonstrates a strong understanding of the our client’s brand, target audiences, and our client’s message and communication standards.

Website Content Writer Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain content for websites, keeping the sites fresh and relevant
  • Assist other departments and offices with management and maintenance of their site content
  • Coordinate and meet with designated content authors/managers to assist departments in creating and maintaining site content.
  • Provide training for web content authors/managers in the creation of web content and usage of the content management system.
  • Create schedules and timelines to coordinate the writing and publishing of web content
  • Publish final and approved website content using a content management system
  • Assist in creating internal communications to inform project owners, stakeholders and our client’s community of any updates concerning website content.
  • Stay abreast of current industry standards and techniques to ensure effective content that achieves marketing and communication goals
  • Review website analytics and other reports to ensure the website meets its target audience needs; making modifications to site content as needed
  • Assist in the coordination of online marketing strategies, including social media, email marketing and online marketing are aligned with the overall marketing and communication strategies
  • Deliver quality customer service to internal constituents in a professional, helpful and courteous manner
Website Content Writer Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.  Any and all degree(s) must be from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.
  • 2-4 years of experience in the development of content for large websites required
  • Experience with Drupal content management system preferred
  • Demonstrated understanding of website information architecture and the ability to refine site maps and site navigation required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills required.
  • Previous work experience with content management systems required; Drupal experience preferred
  • Previous web content writing experience within a marketing or communications department preferred.
  • Related work experience in a higher-education setting preferred
