Your NEW Textile Designer opportunity is here! We are looking for an exceptional Textile Designer for a temporary hire opportunity in Oklahoma City, OK. For this position, you will contributes graphic, illustration and layout design development, proofing, concept work and presentation for textile design. This designer also contributes conceptual work for product, packaging, branding, collateral and various marketing platforms. The ideal candidate for this position possesses advanced knowledge and strong technical proficiency for textile and fabric design, printing, color theory, patterns, and modification techniques with the ability to prioritize and excel in a fast-paced environment with a focus on efficient and on-time project execution. 

Textile Designer Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with Clients, Team Leaders and Coordinators to meet project objectives in conceptualization, development and presentation of graphics, illustrations and layouts of textiles, packaging and various other product.
  • Creates designs with strong artistic sensibilities that satisfy a diverse array of projects.
  • Matches seasonal color palettes to the printer and finds pantone numbers for swatches.
  • Meets all deadlines while juggling multiple project.
  • Solves problems proactively with patience and intelligence.
  • Works closely with peers and sets a tone of partnership between teams.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly workstation.
  • Contributes to team effort by fulfilling responsibilities with a positive attitude.
Textile Designer Requirements:
  • Advanced understanding of textile and fabric design and printing.
  • Advanced color theory and pattern knowledge.
  • Exceptional eye for colorways and color matching.
  • Strong concept visualization with consideration for how textiles can be manipulated or modified to achieve desired results.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of jacquards, chenilles, embroidery techniques, prints, velvets, backing/binding fabrics, dyeing and various other techniques.
  • Comprehensive understanding of graphic and CAD design principles in print.
  • Strong illustration and design skills.
  • Knowledge of current market trends and customer behavior.
  • Excellent ability for creative conceptualization and to lead ideation, presentation, execution and follow-through on all creative deliverables. 
  • Ability to self-start and work under minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills that reflect the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks without effecting quality or polish.
  • Ability to accept and apply critique and feedback.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient Mac skills and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite.
