Looking for a Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Technical Writer who is available for an ongoing up to 40 hour a week contract at our client's in-house agency in Kenilworth, NJ! We are hoping that the right candidate will continue to keep the team compliant with SLDC, create how-to guides for sites that are built, and continue helping with admin requests and assessments for new sites.
 
Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Kenilworth NJ
Type: Ongoing Contract up to 40 hours a week

Technical Writer Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze in-house agency's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) documentation needs
  • Complete forms, write documentation, organize information to follow the guidance set forth in the team's SDLC for selected sites that have already been developed
  • Create a decision tree to help analyze what is needed for each site in order to be compliant with SDLC
  • Create a streamlined process to make compliance with the SDLC as efficient as possible
  • Apply technical expertise and attention to detail while completing company forms and requests: DNS requests, CMDB registrations, Risk assessments, Privacy reviews
  • Create guidance and “how to” documents for clients for various locations
Technical Writer Requirements:
  • Proven understanding of the lifecycle of software development
  • Experience working in a technical writing position
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
  • Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
