We are seeking a direct hire/full time, Social Media Strategist that will be responsible for the day-to-day management of organic and paid social media campaigns in Columbia,MD.  As Social Media Strategist, you will lead and be directly responsible for the creative strategy, copy, and campaign performance for all platforms.

Social Media Strategist Responsibilities:
  • Promote the company’s goals on social media—Consistent Brand, Recruiting, Continuing Education and Pre-Licensing, Marketing Campaigns, External & Internal Events, External Sponsorships, Charitable Giving and Involvement, Company Events, Employee Engagement, New Hire & Company Announcements, Awards, Client Appreciation Posts, Etc.
  • Develop content strategy campaigns and the implementation of those campaigns
  • Partner with marketing to have social media posts reflect designs within brand
  • Requests to the marketing department for necessary designs should be based on calculated, strategic planning
  • Plan and manage a strategic approach to social media, inclusive of all channels in calendar format, followed by reporting insights and analysis post-launch
  • Support corporate initiatives in tandem with the defined social media strategy
  • Onboard new team members with 3rd party management social media platforms
  • Secondary Responsibilities:
    • Proofing content for email marketing (Ex: Hot New Listings, Drip-Marketing, Blasts)
    • Create content archives for larger purposes (Ex: Email Marketing Campaigns)
    • Strategize a long-term reputation management plan to promote on social media for the company and agents. Campaigns and contests to promote Zillow, Google, Yelp and Facebook Reviews should be planned within the scope of social media planning to build internal programs and public appearance.
Social Media Strategist Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required in Marketing or Communications
  • Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in building and monetizing a brand on social media
  • Precise attention to detail and a passion for consistent brand marketing
  • A skilled writer and editor who can draft compelling social media captions, polls, posts, share text, and other written media
  • Creating reports/metrics and explaining status during meetings/presentations
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Comfortable working with others within a department
  • Experience and expertise with Facebook Live is a must; Experience with Periscope, SnapChat Stories and Filters, and Instagram Stories is highly-recommended
