Our client, a marketing agency in Chicago, IL is seeking a talented Social Media Marketing Manager to join their team. This person will act as primary day-to-day client contact, working to achieve client business needs and objectives month over month and work with account, creative and product teams to ensure all programs are seamlessly executed. 

Social Media Marketing Manager Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategic paid social media advertising recommendations in support of client requests and needs that outline complete social media recommendations, implementation details (networks, formats), success measurements and timelines
  • Develop complete creative briefs that outline the required copy, image, and video assets to be developed for each campaign  
  • Place social media advertising campaigns across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat based on agreed upon campaign strategy
  • Optimize campaign buys to ensure budgets are spent as effectively as possible each month
  • Develop in-depth campaign reports that outline insights on media delivery, engagement, creative, website traffic, attribution and key learnings 
  • Provide demonstrations of our proprietary social advertising products and packages
  • Provide strategic perspective and recommendations for social reputation management and organic content strategy in support of business goals 
  • Monitor clients’ social media channels, initiate conversations with and respond to engagements and reviews based on established brand and client guidelines
  • Monitor clients’ automotive reputation profiles and respond to all client feedback
  • Meet with client contacts once per month to review reputation performance, engagements and share industry updates
  • Provide demonstrations of our proprietary social media online management platform and online reputation service packages
Social Media Marketing Manager Skills and Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science or related field
  • 3-5 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years of experience with paid social advertising and reputation management  
  • Proficiency with Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, and Snapchat that includes a solid understanding of each platform’s core features, as well as a technical understanding of each network’s advertising capabilities
  • Proficiency with Facebook Business Manager and Ads Manager, including the ability to place campaigns, manage delivery and budgets, and analyze results 
  • Facebook Certified Media Buying & Facebook Certified Media Planning Certifications strongly preferred 
  • Experience handling marketing budgets and developing insights based on campaign results
  • Have strong project management and organizational skills being able to manage multiple projects at once utilizing tools like Salesforce, Asana, Google Docs, etc.
  • Have a passion for social media, be an avid user and have a passion to stay in the loop on the latest social media trends, capabilities and platforms
  • Self-motivated, well-organized and assertive, with strong analytical and deductive skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills for effective client relations
  • Experience with automotive strongly preferred
