Salesforce Marketing Cloud Director Responsibilities:
  • Partners with the team to manage and implement Managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) projects for the enterprise with a specific focus around ExactTarget (Email studio), Journey Builder, Cloud Pages, Mobile Connect and Automation Studio components
  • Ability to listen and understand client’s requests, write business requirements and develop data model and technical solution
  • Partner with project and account management to provide estimations of work effort and timing, communicate and own scheduling and resourcing projects
  • Responsible for multiple technical aspects of email development
  • Awareness of email, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Ampscipt, Data Relationships, and SQL compliance and deliverability best practices
  • Ability to Integrate between internal and external systems with SFMC through APIs
  • Ability to create cross-cloud email journeys with the Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Salesforce Service Cloud
  • Ability to automate marketing activities through SFMC using Automation Studio and Journey Builder
  • Ability to specify, document and test SFMC SOAP and REST APIs
  • Ability to Liaison with IT on integrated projects
  • Previous enterprise-level expertise with exact target / email studio
  • AMP Script expertise required
  • HTML, CSS, Javascript required · Deep understanding of email best practices
  • Deep understanding of Cross-channel customer engagement strategy, design and development (web, mobile, social, physical)
  • Strong MS PowerPoint/Visio skills and ability to present to technical, business, and marketing audiences
  • Ability to work in matrix environment and to serve as individual and team contributor, leading projects and initiatives 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Contacts usually involve discussions related to policies and programs
  • Handles sensitive, complex, and/or confidential information
  • Requires moderate interpersonal and communication skills to ensure that customer requests or needs are met
  • Acknowledges and clarifies customer inquiries, requests, or complaints to ensure that needs are identified, documented and addressed
  • Tasks are multiple and diverse with some interrelationship across processes
  • Work requires the direct application of a variety of procedures, policies and/or precedents
  • Performs duties within scope of general Company policies, procedures and objectives
  • Analyzes problems and performs needs assessments
  • Uses judgment in adapting broad guidelines to achieve desired result
  • Regular exercise of independent judgment within accepted practices
  • Makes recommendations that affect policies, procedures and practices

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Director Qualifications: 
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Bachelors Degree from a Four (4) year College or University 3-5 years of relevant technology consulting or industry experience 
  • Previous experience functioning in the role of a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solution Architect or a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Technical Architect strongly preferred 
  • Positive, can-do attitude 
  • Ampscript SQL Experience with Cloud Pages 
  • Experience with Mobile Connect a plus 
  • Web programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
  • Inquisitive and energized by learning new things 
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics a plus 
  • Detail oriented 
  • Design and/or writing skills a plus 
  • Coding skills or experience required 
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant preferred Language 
  • Ability to read, and interpret documents such as policy and procedure manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Regular and substantial contact with others
  • Refers exceptions to policy and procedures to the supervisor
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
