We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to assume the role of Project Manager. This is a direct hire/full time opportunity currently located in Red Bank, NJ. The ideal Project Manager candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience in project management in an agency setting, and will have worked within the boundaries of consulting and/or professional services. This position will allow the candidate to be heavily involved in developing and maintaining project plans, leading and developing multiple internal project teams, and the occasional step into a client facing role, as needed. 

Project Manager Responsibilities:
  • Defining, authoring and vetting scopes and work breakdown structures / staff plans for marketing projects
  • Successfully assemble debrief materials, kick off projects, and operationalize requirements
  • Develop and maintain project plans, including specific task assignments, dependencies between tasks, and dynamic start/end dates
  • Prepare complex project submissions, with prime attention to detail
  • Development and management of project timelines, project plans, and staffing plans
  • Leadership of internal project teams, including graphic designers, copywriters, editors, animators, and web developers
  • Maintain and distribute detailed notes, explicit task assignments, and meeting requests
  • Provide regular updates and status of project and team performance
  • Provide input on decisions regarding project portfolio governance, management, budgets, staff utilization and projections.
  • Identification and mitigation of risks throughout project lifecycle
  • Establish & maintain close working relationships with Client Service, Shared Services, Operations, Business Affairs and Finance teams
  • Prepare project status and budgets/actuals reports for distribution and analysis as necessary
  • Management of project financials, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and project margin
  • Comfortable stepping in and playing a client-facing role from time to time to address any issues related to delivery, including budget, assumptions and timing

Project Manager Requirements:
  • 5-8 years of project management experience in a consulting  or professional services company working on large projects with 5 to 10 team members and diverse stakeholders
  • 3 years of agency experience leading integrated and or digital projects. 
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
  • Previous consulting experience with technical development and software implementation projects is required
  • Experience routing review materials and task assignments
  • Experience managing internal expectations on project scope and delivery
  • Capable of leading multiple projects simultaneously. Must be comfortable interfacing with the client from time to time
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written. Must be highly organized and able to collaborate with our teams and clients
  • Demonstrable understanding of various digital marketing channels, including online advertising, social media, search engine optimization, websites and application development. Familiarity with search and website usage analytics
  • Experience working within a content management systems (such as WordPress) and customer relationship management (such as SalesForce)
  • Experience working with freelancers, contractors and external vendor services, processing contracts, and managing remote teams
  • Solid knowledge and experience with the MS Office suite, MS Project/Omniplan/SmartSheets/equivalent, Box/Dropbox/equivalent, Trello/JIRA/equivalent, Project Management tools etc.
  • Hands-on experience with web development technologies a plus (e.g., HTML and CSS)
