Fantastic opportunity for a new to the market Production Assistant! Our client is seeking talent for an ongoing contract located in North Wales, PA.  For this role, the Production Assistant provides tactical support to the production team with its daily activities associated with the execution of video projects. This entry level role will assist all members of the team in all phases of video production from the posting of assignments and schedules to the archiving of videos when they are completed. 

Job Title: Production Assistant
Location: North Wales, PA
Type: Ongoing / On Site  / 40 hour a week Contract

Production Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for ingesting media from daily productions
  • Responsible for catalogue, storage and archive of all finished videos, project files and raw footage
  • Manage retrieval of all finished video assets from freelance bench
  • Organize video files for efficient access
  • Organize element reels, client tapes and other production-related material so they can be easily located and always accounted for
  • Schedule and post assignments for upcoming productions
  • Serve as a backup to Producers, Associate Producing as needed
  • Perform various studio crew positions as necessary such as cameraman, teleprompter, floor manager, as needed
Production Assistant Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Video/Film Production or related field is required
  • Experience in the corporate or television production industry
  • Detail oriented, well-organized, able to effectively multi-task
  • Solid understanding of field and studio production and an ability to deliver precise instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of modern digital video production, equipment and processes
  • Fully capable of accurate time and resource budgeting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Internet research
  • Additional skills such as camera operation, teleprompter or edit systems are desirable
