The successful Media Relations Manager candidate would work with the marketing communications and public outreach teams to develop and execute on a strategy to build brand awareness and positive image. 

Media Strategist / Content Developer Responsibility: 
  • Experience with preparation of press releases, internet, website and social media
  • Set up a robust media monitoring and outreach system and strategy (using a vendor such as Cision or Meltwater) 
  • Coordination with appropriate staff and provide oversight on all public relations activities, including press conferences, press kit mailings, press release mailings and all media follow up with story pitches 
  • Media Relations Support for events
  • Media Advisory, Press Release, Press Management, Media Relations Skills 
  • Evaluation and Training for staff 
  • Paid Traditional Advertising in Targeted Publications 
  • Strategic Planning and Coordination with Marketing and Communications Team 
  • Media coverage reporting as-needed Update the website with relevant news stories and press releases 
  • Assist with big-picture strategic marketing and communications work for the project Experience Required/Recommended 


Media Strategist / Content Developer Requirements: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, Marketing, Advertising, or a related field Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Design and implement content strategies that are in line with industry best practices
  • Swift and adept at creating powerful and attention-grabbing news hooks
  • Have knowledge and understanding of major media players in the conservative marketplace
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be passionate about advancing conservative ideas
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and willing to work according to the news cycle; Understand the importance of media follow ups
  • Be a confident yet humble team player who is comfortable receiving and following direction from senior team members
  • Be able to successfully manage several projects at one time
  • Be comfortable with rejection and able to tactfully and diplomatically navigate and address conflict
  • Have well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Be able to manage the details, strategies, and timelines of projects to which he or she is assigned
