Marketing Product Manager

The BOSS Group is currently seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to assume the role of Marketing Product Manager. This is a full-time/direct hire opportunity located onsite in Somerset, NJ. The ideal candidate will lead the development and execution of the overall marketing strategy of a rapidly growing category that shows great growth potential for the organization, as well as manage the supporting team to ensure adequate assistance across the category. 

Marketing Product Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development/execution of strategic plan for category growth
  • Direct, coordinate and monitor the daily activities & performance of Product Marketing Associates
  • Act as lead subject matter expert and key category contact for internal teams and vendor/partners
  • Setting annual objectives by leading ongoing business analysis and completing research as needed
  • Develop category sales tools & training materials by leading creation of services and product/program materials, as well as identifying new product opportunities
  • Manage content and updates for appropriate marketing category of: customer and internal touch points, establishing pricing guidelines, participating in events, document business processes, and additional sales support
Marketing Product Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field
  • 5-7 years of work experience in a marketing or category management function
  • Experience managing a product category from a marketing, merchandising, category management, or brand management standpoint
  • Experience and demonstrated success developing and executing business and/or category strategic growth plans, as well as integrated marketing plans
  • Must possess general business financial acumen, strong analytical skills, and experience analyzing market and competitive pricing, developing pricing strategy and pricing products to maximize growth and profit
  • A mastery of organizational and project management skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Outlook) and Publisher. PeopleSoft ERP preferred
  • Copywriting experience preferred
  • People Leadership experience required
  • Knowledge of hospitality industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment categories preferred
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and professional interactive skills
  • May be required to travel to and from internal and customer events as needed
  • May be required to work evenings or weekends depending on business needs
