Marketing Coordinator

We are seeking a creative, ambitious, self-initiating Marketing Coordinator with extensive consumer goods and social media marketing experience in Countryside, IL. This direct hire/full time, position will be responsible for developing and executing marketing and branding strategies, with an emphasis on social media. The ideal candidate has strong written and verbal communication skills and offers creativity to this position. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, proactive, and take ownership in implementing the marketing strategy.

Marketing Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the company’s social media marketing and advertising strategy, including planning and goal setting, brand awareness, content management and SEO (search engine optimization)
  • Act as the voice of the brand across social media communities which will include, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter
  • Perform market research and develop a solid understanding of current customers, products/applications, competitors and target accounts/industries
  • Develop and publish relevant, high quality content (images, video, and written) on a regular schedule on all social platforms
  • Implement the company’s marketing and advertising social media strategies from collecting and analyzing data to executing campaigns, with clearly defined objectives and milestones.
  • Develop and maintain the company’s print and electronic marketing materials and media assets
  • Establish, measure, and analyze ROI using key performance indicators, and creating reports to the executive team
  • Manage efforts in building online reviews and reputation 
  • Monitor online reviews and respond to each accordingly
  • Advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answer questions where appropriate
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy.
  • Identify threats and opportunities in user-generated content surrounding the company 
  • Report notable threats and areas of improvement
  • Monitor competitors marketing and social media efforts and evaluate results

Marketing Coordinator Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree; concentration in Marketing, Public Relations, or Communications is ideal
  • 3 years of experience in marketing or related field.
  • Skilled in SEO (search engine optimization) and Google AdWords
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Web Development, and Microsoft Office
  • Extensive experience with market research and analysis with proven ability to develop recommendations based on data.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and how each can be utilized in different scenarios.
  • Experience sourcing and managing content development and publishing.
  • Technical knowledge of marketing software and analytics (Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.)
