Ready for a new job? We are looking for a talented Marketing Communications Manager for a temporary hire (12 week) position currently in Rockville, MD. The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for contributing strategy and execution of effective marketing campaigns as the “go-to” for the specific industry. You will also work with the marketing and brand management teams to support and promote the organizational strategy. As part of a dynamic marketing team, the marketing communications manager is an independent worker who is focused on outcomes, and has strong organization and project management skills. As Marketing Communications Manager, you will work with analytics and reporting, and draws on critical thinking skills and experience, to make recommendations and execute marketing plans that resonate with our customer base. The position requires social media, email marketing and event marketing skills, plus experience working in automated marketing systems and CMS platforms

Marketing Communications Manager Responsibilities:
  • Manage marketing and advertising for multiple educational product lines
  • Work collaboratively with product line managers to plan and execute outreach across multiple marketing channels, including: email, direct mail, print advertising, online advertising, cost-per-click (CPC) advertising etc., and work with team members to leverage social media and public relations outreach
  • Contribute to interdepartmental project teams to increase the effectiveness of marketing outreach
  • Evaluate market research, KPIs and analytics
  • Collaborate with operations, technology and content development staff
  • Develop and post social media; evaluate, report and make recommendations on analytics
  • Create content for the website that creatively communicates solutions and need for product; follow web writing best practices; optimize keywords for search engines
  • Cross-functionally collaborate to identify customer needs and opportunities
  • Critically measure and report on campaign ROI to senior management and provide constructive recommendations for future directions
Marketing Communications Manager Requirements:
  • BA/BS, with 5-7 years of related marketing experience
  • Excellent copywriting, communications and proofreading skills
  • Pro-active, self-starter who identifies opportunities and can evaluate and present alternatives to challenges
  • Ability to:
    • Manage projects, meet deadlines and multitask
    • Work in a close-knit creative partnership with brand management team to generate workable concepts and ideas
    • Work in a team environment and work collaboratively with other departments
    • Oversee campaigns through the production stage to completion
    • Analyze data and draw conclusions
