Marketing and Content Development Strategist

A not-for-profit organization focused on educating its members of the fight against health care fraud is looking for a Marketing & Content Development Strategist to join their team in a full-time/direct hire position. With a small and mighty team located in the heart of DC, this position will give you an opportunity to touch many aspects of the organizations marketing and communications initiatives. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the marketing automation platform, Higher Logic formerly known as Informz. We are looking for some with proven experience developing marketing campaigns, visually articulating/maintaining branding and messaging, and offering strong writing and editing skills. All candidates will be required to provide writing samples. Marketing & Content Development Strategist Responsibilities: 
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute marketing strategies which help to promote the organization’s membership, training programs and education
  • Create marketing copy for both print and digital collateral 
  • Ensure website content and communications strategy align and support all marketing initiatives for the team
  • Help to manage company website and other digital channels to ensure content is consistent, relevant to members and accurate
  • Track effectiveness of content and campaigns, provide recommendations for improvements in these areas
  • Write content for the associations newsletters, website, and other external materials 
  • Assist with conference planning, production, onsite management, and vendor relations

Marketing & Content Development Strategist Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of proven professional experience in a marketing and communications focused role
  • Association / Non-profit experience required 
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills - Writing samples will be required for consideration
  • Strong attention to detail, deadline driven and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Understanding or previous use in the NetForm (CMS) is highly preferred
  • Experience participating and planning for annual conferences
  • Proven experience maintaining consistent messaging, maintaining brand standards, crafting content for email and web, as well as the ability to work across multiple department heads
