Fantastic opportunity for an International Programs Associate! Our client is seeking a talented International Program Associate for a temporary hire full-time role in (Washington,DC).  For this position, you will provide principal administrative support to the International Programs team with particular focus on the broad scope of administrative responsibilities that support programs targeting audiences outside of North America, including internal and external meetings, correspondence with key international constituents, data processing, and related activities.
 
International Program Associate Responsibilities:


Departmental Efforts
  • Prepare invoices, check requests, and wire transfer requests for approval and signature 
  • Maintain financial documentation 
  • Assist with responding to financial inquiries and reconciling expenses
  • Prepare and proofread correspondence between ASH leadership and key partners from outside of North America
  • Solicit availability for meetings and conference calls with internal and external constituents 
  • Schedule and arrange accordingly
  • Coordinate in-house meetings with various departments involved in cross-cutting initiatives
  • Receive, track, and respond as directed to requests from various international entities for ASH participation.

Committee Activities
  • Assist with the preparation and compilation of meeting materials for various oversight bodies and meetings with leadership from other hematology societies
  • Assist International Programs team with general committee support
  • Assist with preparation and compiling of meeting books
  • Update committee handbooks, “new members’ guides” as necessary
  • Send and monitor RSVPs for committee meetings
  • Organize and submit reimbursements for committee members as necessary
  • Serve as resource for responding to inquiries regarding committee governance and support
  • Work with Meetings department and/or relevant meeting vendors to prepare logistics for the meetings of various oversight bodies
  • Assist with coordination of the various international programs
  • Assist with ASH-related meetings and ASH Exhibit Booth at the Annual Congress of the European Hematology Association (EHA):

International Program Associate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree and either 1-2 years of relevant experience or comparable undergraduate internship experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office, databases, and Internet
  • High ethical standards and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise good judgment, and exhibit excellent customer service 
  • Association background preferred
  • Additional language proficiency preferred
