Fantastic opportunity for a Digital Project Manager ! Our client is seeking a talented Digital Project Manager  for a full-time, direct hire opportunity, located in the Washington DC area. The Digital Project Manager will join our client’s health communications team to serve as a task lead, including supervising a team of digital specialists. This candidate will have at least 7 years of experience in project management. A strong candidate will experience managing complex digital projects in a client service organization/agency that include web design, development, and maintenance.

Digital Project Manager Responsibilities: 
  • Serve as task lead and project manager overseeing several web projects on key contracts    * Provide leadership in defining the strategic approach, web design and development requirements and translating that into work plans, timelines and tasks 
  • Play a leadership role on a team of digital specialists, content strategists and managers, UX designers, developers, and coordinators, including supervising staff 
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and respond quickly to project challenges, using timely and sound decision-making 
  • Create and manage detailed work plans and schedules which identify and sequence the activities needed to successfully complete digital and web projects 
  • Monitor the projects’ progress and make adjustments as needed to ensure interim milestones and delivery dates are met on time; adjust resources and priorities as needed, and communicate proactively with stakeholders 
  • Take part in refining internal procedures, processes, and methodologies
Digital Project Manager Requirements:
  • 7 years progressively responsible experience in project management of complex digital projects that include web design, development, and maintenance, preferably in a client service organization or agency; federal project management a plus 
  • 2 years of experience supervising staff 
  • Strong communication and project management skills 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of best practices for digital strategy and the software development life cycle 
  • Experience managing digital projects and resources in a matrixed environment 
  • Team orientation with a collaborative approach to problem solving 
  • Effective spoken and written communication skills 
  • Bachelor's degree
