The BOSS Group is seeking a highly motivated and influential individual to assume the role of Curriculum Development Specialist. This is a full time, temporary position for the duration of about four months and is currently located in Ramsey, NJ. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with building and developing online learning content and will be heavily involved in designing, developing, and maintaining current and new training materials. 

Curriculum Development Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Work in a decentralized, rapid development environment and conduct gap analyses on a regular basis to determine that each course created meets the goals of the course
  • Assist in the development of objectives for each learning project
  • Participate in departmental and cross-functional teams for the purpose of curriculum and content development
  • Design, develop, maintain, implement and evaluate current and new training materials to be used for online and classroom-based training courses, using adult learning theories of instructional design 
  • Work with metrics team to measure the effectiveness and relevance of instruction based on a solid understanding of recognized curriculum development processes 
  • Act as liaison between clients, the product marketing team, and third party vendors to gain necessary product support information 
  • Interpret assessment data, strategies for tracking student progress, and communication of results based on clear criteria and standards to show reliable and valid assessment results
  • Research, write, and maintain every instructor-led and online course assigned in collaboration with subject matter experts and other teams
  • Maintain an archive of curriculum and content materials in accordance with team- established file management practices for the purpose of efficient file retrieval and repurposing of such materials

Curriculum Development Specialist Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology or Instructional Design; Masters degree preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills required (writing sample required) 
  • Minimum 5 years related experience a must
  • Experience with Adobe Captivate, Adobe Audition, & Adobe Illustrator a must.
  • Effectively participate in multiple projects simultaneously
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Experience with adult learning theory and instructional design/development theory/application is required
  • Experience in developing online courses
  • Experience in live online collaboration, such as webinars and webcasts required 
  • Knowledge of office automation, printing, publishing and graphics industries a plus
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting processes and product engineering a plus 
  • Some travel required
