Our Client is looking for a Creative Specialist who has a passion for great design, impeccable attention to detail and understands the demands and speed of an in-house design team in Reston, VA. The right candidate possesses a constant desire to innovate and will provide a broad range of communications and graphic design support to the company. The primary focus of attention for this position is placed on print production and web content maintenance in preparation for upcoming client meetings and activities. The position reports to the Director of Creative Department, and will work closely with all headquarters staff on a variety of projects in order to meet all client commitments. Good attention to detail, creativity, and knowledge of communications best practices are all highly sought-after qualities in the right candidate.

Creative Specialist Responsibilities will be:

Exhibition poster design and production

  • Brochures
  • Publications (small and large page count)
  • Newsletters
  • Editing for copy consistency and style
  • Website design and maintenance
  • ePostcards (coded in Dreamweaver)
  • Website graphics and banners

Creative Specialist Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or Web Programming/Design or related field preferred
  • Highly proficient with print design and pre-press publishing practices
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Cloud Creative Suite applications: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver
  • Experience with in-house design work and brand consistency
  • Proficient in HTML/CSS and Responsive Design
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with many stakeholders
  • Ability and enthusiasm for working both independently and collaboratively with a fast-paced team
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership over projects and tasks
  • Able to manage multiple projects with overlapping deadlines
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Aptitude for continuous learning
  • Customer service orientation
