Creative Project Manager

Location: San Ramon, CA (Must be able to work on site) 
Estimated hours per week: 30-40 
Ongoing contract with no end date

Day to day responsibilities: 
  • Responsible for the day-to-day oversight and execution of a communications projects to ensure they are on task, on time and within budget.
  • Serves as the project and process expert who strives for service and quality excellence throughout project lifecycle
  • Provides thought leadership and excellent writing skills in development of scope of work proposals, presentations, statements of work, etc., to ensure projects are accurately scoped, estimated, priced, resourced, communicated and aligned with services offered by the organization
  • Proactively leads in the analysis, coordination and problem-solving of mission-critical details to ensure objectives, deliverables, budget and timelines are understood, developed and produced in a manner that meets, if not exceeds, client and studio expectations
  • Functions as the primary project liaison between the client and the project team
  • Manages and develops timelines, budgets, assets, overall scope and project organization to ensure the team meets project requirements and client expectations
  • Ensures project requirements and key milestones are clearly communicated to and understood by clients, functional team members, and key stakeholders
  • Ensures that project team understand their responsibilities and accountabilities and are properly executing their assignments
  • Advises on tactics
  • Manages all project-based vendor interactions
  • Manages budget and financial reporting in a manner that is proactive and transparent including preparation of estimates, budgets, progress reports and review of vendor invoices 
  • Communicates regularly to the Project Management Lead the overall status of projects in progress and in the pipeline (including timelines, estimated efforts, health, resource needs, risks, issues, budgets, etc.)
  • Ensures project team members are adhering to processes and procedures and properly informed throughout project lifecycle
  • Proactively trouble-shoots, escalates and steps in to be as hands-on as necessary to mitigate at-risk projects
  • Responsible for overall project quality assurance process
Skills needed: 
  • Project Management software - Workfront experience desirable but not required
  • Experience managing creative development/execution of deliverables across static and digital formats (posters, signage, newsletters, PPT, websites, etc)
  • Must have advanced computer typing skills and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word:
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Customer service skills
  • Communication skills (oral and written)
