Are you looking for a new role? If so, we are looking for an experienced and committed Creative Production Team Lead for a full-time opportunity with a Fortune 10 client of ours. This position is currently located in Downtown Houston, TX. This person will serve as a working manager responsible for the supervision and development of the creative production team that manages the production of all assigned (Tier 1 to Tier 3) materials for the client's In-House Agency.

OVERVIEW:  
This is a leadership role requiring exceptional abilities across design, production, project and process management, client and vendor relations, and financial and budget accountabilities. The Creative Production Team Lead will ensure the creative production team is proficient, knowledgeable and working to the processes, standards and requirements established in building a best-in-class production team. This person will work to ensure these same principles and practices are managed through the production team to external strategic partners, vendors and agencies. The Team Lead oversees the execution of a high volume of complex projects while interacting and communicating with the client, vendors, suppliers and internal resources on a day-to-day basis. He/she is responsible for planning and estimating while ensuring the highest quality of brand standards. This person is a strong communicator/project manager who is proactive, highly organized, excellent at multitasking, comfortable under pressure, and able to work effectively as a team member and leader. The Team Lead will serve as the print production brand steward and technical liaise for the creative team and marketing as required. The Creative Production Team Lead is accountable for reports and metrics as well as managing the level of daily production work.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assume a leadership role, leading by example, in building a best-in-class creative production team by ensuring all members of creative production are proficient in role, process, brand standards and business requirements
  • Empower the creative production team to work in an entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit promoting the sharing of knowledge, experience, learning, thought leadership and recognition
  • Source and manage production for a wide range of materials to meet business needs Perform project management of for each assigned campaign or project within your team
  • Manage the client’s jobs on budget, on time and with the highest level of service and quality
  • Ensure specifications are complete and accurate
  • Determine specs, estimates to maintain budgets; communicate any obstacles that would require additional funding
  • Manage the creative team's retouching comments and art direction with prepress suppliers to ensure accurate interpretation and follow-through
  • Manage the production and proofing of work
  • Maintain the history for all work Adhere to company brand standards
  • Collaborate with designers to develop the most effective solutions; instill knowledge in the creative production team
  • Proactively present production solutions and offer suggestions for more efficient production methods
  • Collaborate with managers for accurate and efficient delivery; share knowledge as appropriate
  • Continually develop and maintain relationships
  • Engage in professional development to continuously grow in your profession and remain competitive with outside services

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven ability to lead and develop staff in sourcing and managing creative production services
  • Flexible, proactive, highly organized, excellent at multitasking, very comfortable under pressure, and able to work effectively as a team member and leader
  • Strong relationship skills
  • Functional knowledge in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop for reviewing files
  • Ability to track and manage multiple assets and versions for reviews and sign-offs
  • Communicates fully, effectively and diplomatically, and exhibits proactive, solution-oriented thinking and execution
  • Works collaboratively in partnership with others, maintains professional demeanor under pressure and in situations of ambiguity
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Creative problem solver
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in media arts and technology, graphic arts or related field
  • Minimum of eight years of creative production management experience in an external or in-house agency required
  • Minimum three years of management experience required
