Creative Director

In partnership with Cella Solutions, The BOSS Group has an exciting opportunity for an Creative Director at an award-winning, best-in-class in-house studio at a major healthcare company currently located in Waltham, MA. The studio services the marketing department and produces print, digital, and interactive collateral. The studio supports the organization’s largest line of business and deliverables include pieces for internal communications, patient education, HCP’s, and clinical staff.

Creative Director Responsibilities
  • Direct the daily functions of Studio’s design team, ensuring high performance through the implementation of operational, staffing, organizational and professional development best practices
  • Provide strategic business, marketing and creative/design advice and insights on best practices within area of responsibility to Studio Manager, clients and client-side management as needed
  • Ensure team is compliant with all Client branding, operational, legal and regulatory mandates, policies and guidelines
  • Support team in the creation of high-quality and innovative creative deliverables that meet client and project objectives
  • Assist in the assessment, design and implementation of group processes, policies and procedures best suited to the needs of the department, the department’s internal clients, and the greater corporation as a whole
  • Partner with the Studio Manager and Project Managers to review studio metrics to assess and ensure appropriate utilization and staffing of the team 
  • Participate in monthly Studio Operations and Quarterly Review meetings
  • Maintain high utilization of the contracted resources by managing overtime and the use of flexible staff to cost effectively meet department needs
  • Ensure that all contract employees are on-boarded and receive the creative-related tools and training needed to begin their engagement
  • Identify and align key resources to execute on the business and creative needs while adhering to clearly defined utilization metrics & expectations
  • Partner with clients and internal account services to develop innovative and creative concepts that address project objectives
  • Ensure the creative deliverables meet technical, brand and design/creative quality control standards 
  • Direct the production of print and digital communications
  • Utilizing Adobe Creative Suite and other related toolsets, produce, optimize, and release final creative in support of various marketing channels and businesses
  • Enhance the design of creative deliverables by applying design expertise to type, layout and other design elements
  • Proof layout specs, resolution, color, space and file management prior to delivery
  • Organize and archive assets according to Client standards
Creative Director Requirements
  • BA in design, communications or related field of study from an accredited college or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of creative, communications and/or marketing services experience working and/or managing both in the print design and digital design space
  • Minimum of 3 years in-house/corporate creative or communications department management experience
  • Advanced Adobe CC knowledge
  • Intermediate PowerPoint, Word and Excel knowledge
