We are searching for a Corporate Communications Manager for a direct hire/full-time position in  Philadelphia, PA (Suburbs). For this position you will, drive the strategic messaging and tactical communications for all brands and employees. The right person for this Corporate Communications Manager role is collaborative, open-minded, inspiring, and has deep experience working with retail or hospitality brands in a fast-paced environment. If you are a passionate and detailed storyteller with a desire to build, lead, share and grow, then this is a great role for you.  This new hire will manage all internal and external communications activities for these two departments to include planning, scheduling, creation and launch of communications to stores, store support centers, and media publications. 

Corporate Communications Manager Responsibilities:
  • Assist with the communications department’s strategic projects as necessary
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts in assigned departments
  • Determine a cadence for touching base with key contacts regarding their communications needs, including attending staff meetings and setting up other regular conversations
  • Partner with the cross-functional team to get the departments’ upcoming communications and/or store action needs represented on the enterprise planning calendar
  • Identify related internal news opportunities and write feature stories for the intranet home page
  • Load and deploy messages via various channels as outlined on communication plans
  • Regularly update the rest of the communications team on assigned departments’ initiatives
  • Review and edit teammates’ work.Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts in assigned departments
  • Determine a cadence for touching base with key contacts regarding their communications needs, including attending staff meetings and setting up other regular conversations
  • Partner with the cross-functional team to get the departments’ upcoming communications and/or store action needs represented on the enterprise planning calendar
  • Recommend a communication strategy for each of the projects, programs and events launching to stores and create a comprehensive communication plan, detailing the impacted audiences, appropriate vehicles and timing; also, facilitate cross-departmental collaboration as necessary

Corporate Communications Manager Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or related area  
  • 5 years experience or more in corporate communications
  • A working knowledge of Excel, Photoshop, PowerPoint and content management systems
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills.
  • A firm grasp of grammatical and stylistic standards set by the Associated Press
  • An adaptable writing style that can be tailored by audience and medium
  • Very strong interpersonal skills and aptitude establishing and maintaining relationships with partners at all levels of an organization, including senior management
