Change Management Lead

We are looking for a talented Change Management Lead for a long-term temporary hire/full-time opportunity, with potential to turn into a permanent role. This position is currently located in Bethesda, Maryland. The change management lead will be responsible for creating and implementing communication and change management plans that minimize employee resistance and maximize employee engagement. This role will focus on the people side of change, including changes to business processes, systems and technology that will all drive an enhanced customer experience.

Change Management Lead Responsibilities:
  • Develop a change management strategy based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change. 
  • Lead meetings to drive key communication and change management assets and deliverables toward completion.
  • Liaise with project management teams outside of One Yield version 2.
  • Identify potential people-side risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns. 
  • Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner. 
  • Conduct impact analysis and stakeholder assessments.
  • Develop an actionable and targeted change management plan, including stakeholder management plan, communication plan, sponsor roadmap and training plan, integrated with the Innovation to Market process. 
  • Engage HQ and Continent Leaders to align on messaging and communications.
  • Drive executive alignment. 
  • Develop communications materials when needed or oversee communications support when other resources are available.
  • Execute and maintain integrated communications plan.
  • Develop long-term sustainability plan for communications and performance support.
  • Support the execution of change plans by managers and business leaders. 
  • Be an engaged and effective coach to leaders who are change sponsors. 
  • Create and manage sustainability plans to track adoption, utilization and proficiency of individual changes. 
  • Identify resistance and performance gaps, and work to develop and implement corrective actions 
  • Create and enable reinforcement mechanisms and celebrations of success. 
  • Work with project team to integrate change management activities into the overall One Yield version 2 project plan. 
  • Oversee One Yield version 2 project change management and communications resources.
  • Ensure the training strategy and planning are aligned with the program objectives and broader discipline training objectives.  
  • Provide consulting advice to BMSC Communications and Change Management Team on change management best practices.
  • Ensure messages are coordinated with broader BMSC and Global Operations programs.

Change Management Lead Requirements:

Required :
  • Two year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major plus six years’ experience in consulting or related professional area OR
  • Four year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, or related major plus four years’ experience in consulting or related professional experienc
  • Eight or more years of related work experience
  • Experience consulting to business leaders, providing communication and change management support
  • Experience managing the change associated with complex, global systems implementation
  • Demonstrated success working in a complex, service-intensive, deadline-driven environment
  • Demonstrated success in working with and influencing cross-functional work teams in a matrix organization
  • Hospitality/Lodging industry experience
  • History of consistently delivering positive business results
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Strong personal leadership, organizational, relationship-building, and negotiation skills
  • Outstanding formal and informal presentation skills
  • Ability to inspire confidence in senior management and to be recognized as the authority by many stakeholders
  • Ability to be detailed oriented, while maintaining alignment with broader organization objectives
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and many stakeholders
  • Self-starter with self-confidence, enthusiasm, and strong customer service orientation
  • Comfort with complexity, ambiguity and change
  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions in a timely manner sometimes with incomplete information, under tight deadlines and in high pressure situations
  • Graduate/post graduate degree
