Our South Jersey client is seeking an Associate Scientific Director to join their team! The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree (PhD, MD etc), a passion for writing, research and editing. This is a client facing position and they are looking to interview right away! 

Associate Scientific Director Responsibilities: 
  • Provides strategic direction and development of quality scientific and medical content in a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of important clinical issues, relevant literature, clinical practice guidelines, approved therapeutic drugs and regimens, therapeutic pipelines, and key opinion leaders in a variety of therapeutic areas
  • Oversees and/or prepares slide presentations, publications, e-based initiatives, learning objectives, test questions, interview questions, and other areas of content
  • Edit content (text and multimedia) received from faculty/authors and medical writers for organization, clarity, accuracy, alignment with educational grant, and appropriateness for the target learner audience
  • Ensures that all documents and medical content deliverables are accurate, evidence-based, and in full compliance with all ACCME, FDA, OIG requirements
  • Serves as Office of Medical Affairs project lead onsite at CME programs
  • Identifies, secures, and manages internal resources such as medical writers, copyeditors, freelancers, to ensure that projects stay on schedule and within budget
  • Write questions that measure educational effectiveness (eg, posttest, outcomes assessment)
  • Assists in review of outcomes reports for supporters
  • Collaborate with internal team members to develop ideas for grant proposals and assist in new Business Development presentations with Educational Development staff, as needed
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with key opinion leaders and experts in assigned therapeutic area(s) Plan and lead small-group meetings (internal and external) 

Associate Scientific Director Requirements: 
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in hands-on content development for CME/CE is preferred 
  • Advanced degree (eg, MD, DO, MN, MS, MPH, PharmD, PhD) in a clinical scientific field 
  • Knowledge of clinical medicine in assigned therapeutic area(s) preferred 
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly process and deadline driven environment
