A national full-service advertising agency in Knoxville, TN seeks an entry-level Assistant Media Planner. This is a direct hire/full-time position. The Assistant Media Planner is accountable for supporting and assisting with the preparation of plans, budgets, media proposals, reports, and analysis. You will also implement and support the buying process by preparing budget summaries, insertion orders and expenditure reports. 

**This is an on-site position. Company offers a robust relocation package, but is not seeking remote candidates at this time** 

Assistant Media Planner Responsibilities:
  • Create budget reports for previous, current and future budget allocation 
  • Develop competitive analysis for competitor advertising and spending 
  • Complete media delivery analysis 
  • Create agency perspective on media opportunities for clients 
  • Assist with developing media plans 
  • Develop working knowledge of media that is relevant to the client’s business (TV, digital, print, search, and radio 
  • Study demographic data and consumer profiles to pinpoint target audiences for media mediums 
  • Perform calculations identifying various media plans usefulness 
  • Obtain information from sales team’s projects within meetings 
  • Pull research to support strategies, tactics media objectives 
  • Execute media plan entry and coordinate with internal and external teams for campaigns 
  • Maintain media plans once they have been implemented, oversee launch process, and coordinate with investment partners as needed 
  • Compose and analyze post-analysis and evaluate site proposals 
  • Create and maintain flowcharts using MediaTools 
  • Maintain client-approved budgets and assist with tracking client billings 
  • Assist with the media buying process by creating media buy specs and media authorization forms 
  • Review industry trades for innovative, new sites, creative ad units, technologies, and competitive information 

Assistant Media Planner Requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising, Media, Communications or similar field 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Previous media internship experience in Marketing, Advertising or Communications Planning Advanced 
  • Proficient with Excel and Microsoft Word 
  • Intermediate Keynote skills 
  • Prior experience working with Google docs within a Mac environment
