This position is currently located in Houston, TX. The Account Manager is the thought leader, manager and advisor of the successful execution of marketing communications plans. The ideal candidate will work closely with the functional Team Leads and Project Managers to transform high-level client strategies to effective, high-quality communications deliverables in a proactive and cost-efficient manner. Account Manager Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with our client partners and clients across global business units to build and deepen relationships with the goal of developing a keen understanding of their business and communications objectives/needs
  • Consult with clients to translate their business goals/needs into effective communications recommendations/solutions that align with their objectives, budget and brand requirements
  • Take initiative to seek, analyze and synthesize all available data to strategically: identify target audience for communications; establish communications objectives; identify most appropriate communications tactics
  • Partner with planner/strategist to inform creative brief and communications strategy as needed
  • Lead in the development of clear/concise project briefs that will drive effective, high impact creative solution/deliverables
  • Provide knowledge transfer to Project Managers, Creative Team and others as needed 
  • Serve as client proxy to ensure understanding and alignment of communications objectives and creative deliverables
  • Participate in, direct and monitor creative development, production and evaluation leading to approvals
  • Stay fully apprised of client projects as they develop, pre-empt potential problems and keep rest of team apprised of progress and challenges
  • Follow/up and follow-through with functional team members to ensure projects are on budget, brand and brief and meet quality standards
  • Leverage appropriate account management communication and project management tools to maintain transparency/awareness with client stakeholders and internal resources
  • Proactively seek feedback from all involved in the project in order to improve quality of the work
  • Conduct project reviews to identify and share best practices and foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement
  • Identify and inform creative solutions and evaluate deliverables to ensure alignment with brand, brief and budget
Account Manager Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a brand builder who has mastered executional processes across print, digital and video creative
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively across department, offices, divisions, functions, cultures and levels in a large global company
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects to successful execution of strategies
  • Ability to use strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to engage key stakeholders and gain support by making a compelling case
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • 5+ years as an Account Supervisor in an Ad agency developing, managing and executing communications plans and deliverables.
  • Work history should show progressive growth within account management in an Ad agency environment
  • B2B or internal corporate communications
  • Oil and Gas and In-House corporate experience a huge PLUS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
