SEO-rich content drives industry leaders

Every business wants to establish its service as a leader in its respective industry. To be considered an innovative company would surely mean success, however, brand awareness is becoming increasingly harder to achieve. For those who do not know, content marketing is the creation and publication of unique news, whether blog posts or reports, on a professional website. The content is laced with keywords, phrases and search engine optimization (SEO) practices. The goal of SEO and content marketing is to increase online traffic, while simultaneously generating more leads.

The implementation of marketing campaigns, such as content and SEO, is expected to skyrocket going forward. Google has played an important role in the surge of content marketing, as recent algorithm changes, like Panda, have begun to rank and rate websites based on the information published on the respective web pages. For many, this concept can be hard to understand, as often happens when new innovations in web analysis take hold of the workplace.

The challenge for companies in 2012 will be to figure out effective ways to maintain an authoritative voice in a noisy market. In the end, consumers will dictate the the success of a website. If the published information is generic and of little use, search engine upgrades will notice this and, consequently, give that web page a poor ranking online - an effect worse than death for most organizations.

In conjunction, according to a social media study prepared by King Fish Media, HubSpot and Junta42, original content, both branded and expert, will determine the success of social media tactics employed by organizations across industries. This cause and effect will transpire into all current marketing campaigns. Content is king, and while consumers and companies continue to try and understand this internet revolution, more information will emerge on how effective content marketing and SEO actually is in relation to profit and brand exposure.

One thing is for sure, failing to incorporate content marketing and SEO will hurt a business. In an evolving market, it makes more sense to conform than not.
