3D design jobs will increase as more electronics incorporate the technology

2012-02-14

After a good night's rest, people wake up to the reality that we're all living in 3D. Each item in any given room has depth and structure. The ability to reach out and grab an object has lost its appeal. It's mundane. After all, anyone can pick something up. However, it seems that in terms of design and entertainment, we've all been living a less-than-satisfactory lifestyle. In 2012, 3D design jobs will skyrocket, as developers explore new ways to improve human interaction with the simulated world.

In the past few decades, the advancements in electronics, ranging from smartphones to realistic movie productions, have been impressive. Today, almost any topic one can think of has likely been transformed into a cinematic presentation somewhere along the line. In some instances, using CGI effects to simulate realistic depictions of great Roman battles or underwater exploration. Not to mention the advantages provided by productions such as Planet Earth, which opened our eyes to the living world around us. In 2012, 3D is expected to take the forefront of design, as the technology is being prepared to enter all realms of technology.

Minimalism is expected to be a popular aspect of future designs. The methodology will be applied to websites to give the web pages more breathing room and help make them distinguishable. However, in contrast, 3D design will become more relevant, as well. In future smartphones the technology will provide users with more interaction possibilities, as texts and Tweets will seem to be jumping right off the screen. The design trend will improve employment opportunities in many industries.

For instance, 3D design jobs will continue to increase as electronics, such as TVs, smartphones, cameras and projectors as the technology will begin to be incorporated into the design of the devices. Along with 3D design jobs, the trend will influence multimedia jobs and web development jobs, as each industry will have to scramble to find ways to seamlessly adapt 3D technology.

In a few years, it would not be out of the question to suggest that everyone will be living in a world where even the fictional images we see are in 3D, happening around us, pulling us further into the simulated world of false-reality. The transition could begin in 2012, and designers have the ability to get in on the ground floor by embracing the technology as more than a trend, but as a necessity.
